Red Cherry, Blue Sky

Hand turned and colored footed bowl.

90,00

The bowl is made from the reddish wood of a wild cherry tree that grew in the woods behind the house next door. When the neighbour had to tear it down because it had already become too big, he gave me some of the wood. It resulted in a series of bowls that combine natural shades of red with sky blue coloring. The blue and white stains overflow and follow the lines drawn in the wood by the vintages.

The bowl is meant to be an exhibition piesce, but it won’t mind if you serve fruit or desserts in it.

Wood is polished to a porcelain-looking surface and protected with an oil suitable for contact with food.
