A hand-turned bowl, made of wood from an old walnut tree that grew in a friend’s backyard but had to be torn down due to its age.
It is characterized by a timeless shape with an unexpected twist. Its edge is slightly wavy, which breaks the symmetry.
The wood is surface treated with the finest sandpaper and polished to a silky sheen. It is protected by a coating that is suitable for contact with food. You can wash it with a soft cloth and soap. If it loses its shine, restore it by re-lubricating it with oil, preferably linseed or paraffin.
