Fragile Things are hand-crafted wooden vessels that explore the poetic potential of cracked material. A split that would typically be hidden is instead accentuated with visible wire stitches and traditional dovetail joints. This “healed wound” becomes the central aesthetic and symbolic feature. Each sculpture is unique, made from a single piece of locally sourced wood—often from abandoned orchards or fallen trees. The concept is inspired by the wabi-sabi philosophy, which embraces impermanence, imperfection, and the dignity of aging. The fusion of craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and intentional imperfection results in an object of contemplation and quiet resilience.
